چکیده

Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and safety of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) combined with lowdose steroids in treatment pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus (pSLE).Methods: A total 76 children were diagnosed admitted SLE, nephritis (LN) type IV diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis at Hainan Women Children’s Medical Center, Haikou, China from March 2017 to December 2018, had their clinical data analyzed retrospectively. Among them, 38 received methylprednisolone pulse MMF intermittent oral low-dose glucocorticoids (GC), labelled group, while remaining children, which served as control treated GC transitional reduction. Pertinent biochemical parameters evaluatedResults: Compared group showed a notably lower level erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), higher complement C3, serum creatinine (Scr) 24-h urine protein 6 months after (p < 0.05). Albumin was 12 than group. SLEDAI score significantly Body mass index, triglyceride, fasting blood glucose intraocular pressure levels those Post-treatment, peripheral CD3+ CD4+ T lymphocytes, CD4+/CD8+ ratio NK cell two groups increased, CD8+ lymphocyte declined. Conclusion: controls symptoms early mitigates renal injury pSLE. It is also safe, effectively regulates patient's cellular immune function.

Mycophenolate mofetil in neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus.

Neuropsychiatric abnormalities frequently occur in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, affecting as many as 14-75% of people with this disease. High-dose steroid with or without anticoagulation is the mainstay of treatment in neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE). Use of mycophenolate as a steroid sparing drug may be a potential alternative agent in the therapy of NPLE, ...

Mycophenolate mofetil in the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW Clinicians are increasingly using mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This review will discuss the key studies that have contributed to our understanding of the efficacy and safety of MMF in the treatment of SLE. RECENT FINDINGS The Aspreva Lupus Management Study (ALMS) firmly established that MMF is equivalent to intravenous ...

Mycophenolate mofetil prevents a clinical relapse in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus at risk.

BACKGROUND Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is characterised by the presence of antibodies to double stranded DNA (dsDNA), which are involved in the pathogenesis of SLE. Previous studies showed that at least two thirds of patients develop a clinical relapse within six months after a significant rise in the anti-dsDNA level, and most relapses were prevented by the administration of corticoster...

Successful Treatment of Refractory Thrombocytopenia with Mycophenolate Mofetil in a Patient with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

While mild thrombocytopenia in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is frequently seen in the context of active disease, severe thrombocytopenia causing significant bleeding is not that common. Corticosteroids are considered the first line therapy for severe thrombocytopenia in SLE. Second-line therapeutic agents or splenectomy have been reported to be effective for patients who fail to respond t...
